2002 - Euro Trip 9-day tour to London, York, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and posibly Salisbury
Cost - $1200 covers air travel from Salt Lake City, UT, motel, motor coach travel, entrance fees, everything except food and spending money.
Cost - $ if you are flying in from somewhere else and getting your own flight.

2001 - Early Church History 7-day tour to New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania.
Cost - $775 covers air travel from Salt Lake City, UT, motel, motor coach travel, entrance fees, everything except food and spending money.
Cost - $575 if you are flying in from somewhere else and getting your own flight.

2000 - The Lands of the Book of Mormon 8-day tour to Puebla, Oaxaca and Acapulco, Mexico.
Cost - $840 plus air fare, food and spending money.

1999 - American History 7-day tour of Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.
Cost - $590 includes flight from Salt Lake, lodging, coach travel, entrance fees, most meals.

London - We will spend a night or two with Latter-day Saints families and go to church with them

Edinburgh - The capital of Scotland and its crowning glory is the castle and the Palace of Holyrood House

York - One of the finest Medieval cities in Europe, with buildings and architecture which span almost 2,000 years

 

Liverpool - The Beatles Museum, the historic Albert Dock (where the Saints sailed from), and is one of the countries leading arts and cultural centers. Here we will also spend a night or two with Latter-day Saints families.

Stratford-Upon-Avon - The birthplace of William Shakespeare and you can see his works performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

 

Salisbury - Cathedral with a 123 metre spire and an original Magna Carta on display.








2001- Early Church History

PICTURES FROM THE CHURCH HISTORY TRIP!

As a compliment to our Civics History class this year we will travel to the places and sites where democracy began. Because the laws of our constitution were divinely established to allow the restoration of the Gospel we will also visit important sites in early church history. As always, we end our trip on a fun note by visiting the Hershey Theme Park.

The group of 110 students and chaperones is filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The trip was filled.

Washington DC - Supreme Court, the Capital, Holocaust Museum, the White House (these are different sites than on the American History tour).

Pennsylvania -Franklin Institute Science Museum (a great hands-on museum), Admiral Dewey's ship the Olympia, World War II submarine the Beuna, Continental Congress and the historical district of Philly, Hershey Amusement park.

New York - Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, a Broadway play, Niagara Falls, Joseph Smith Farm, the Sacred Grove, the Visitor Center and temple, see where the first Books of Mormon were published, etc. and Hill Cumorah Pageant.

PICTURES FROM THE MEXICO TRIP!

Enhancing our history study of Ancient American and Middle Eastern Civilizations we will immerse ourselves in the culture and archeological sites. A remarkable opportunity to experience first-hand the geography, history, and culture of the Book of Mormon. You will personally visit important sites and study them in a way that will bring the Book of Mormon to life. We end our trip on the beaches of Acapulco relaxing and exploring the markets.

130 students and chaperones may attend on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Puebla - Visit the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan with its massive pyramids and the archaeological zone of Cholula which has the largest based pyramid in the world. Visist historic site of the "Cinco de Mayo" battle.

mex2.gif (29089 bytes)Oaxaca - Visit the post-classic site of Mitla. And the ancient site of Yagul with her maze like structures. Visit The Black Pottery Factory. See the Tule Tree, a very old, very large tree. Visit the archaeological site of Monte Alban. Visit the regional museum and the Santo Domingo Church.

Acapulco - See the famous Acapulco Cliff Divers and relax on the beach.

In order to bring our American History course to life we visit Washington DC and see all the historical sites associated with the cradle of freedom. To gain an appreciation for the sacrifices made to establish this country we visit Jamestown and Williamburg. We finish off our trip with a fun day at Busch Gardens.

100 students and chaperones may attend on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Maryland - Baltimore National Aquarium

Washington D.C. - United States Capital Building, Smithsonians, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials, Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetary, and Holocaust Museum.

Virginia - Busch Gardens, Jamestown and Williamsburg.
